Sand Station Recreation Area ...
The Sand Station Recreaton Area is located upstream of the McNary Dam on Lake Wallula, at Columbia River Mile (RM) 300. The eight-acre park is maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and allows day-use and camping. The park provides great views of Wallula Gap upstream. Downstream is located Warehouse Beach Recreation Area and Hat Rock State Park. Lewis and Clark first passed this area on October 19, 1805.

Lake Wallula from Sand Station ...
Sand Station Recreation Area is located on the banks of Lake Wallula. Lake Wallula is the reservoir behind the McNary Dam, located eight miles downstream.
