Ridgefield National Wildlife Complex ...
The Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge Complex is comprised of five refuges located in the southwest part of the state of Washington. They include the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge north of Vancouver, Conboy Lake NWR, located on the eastern side of the Columbia River Gorge, and Franz Lake, Pierce and Steigerwald Lake Refuges, all located along the Columbia River at the western end of the Columbia River Gorge.

a Cloudy morning Som rain the after part of last night & this morning. I could not Sleep for the noise kept by the Swans, Geese, white & black brant, Ducks &c. on a opposit base, & Sand hill Crane, they were emensely numerous and their noise horrid [today this location is Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge]
