Lewis & Clark's Columbia River - "200 Years Later"
"Journey to the Pacific - 2"

The last 50 miles -- from the Cowlitz River to the Pacific Ocean -- Islands and channels ... On November 15, 1805, the Lewis and Clark expedition reached the Pacific Ocean near modern Seaview, Washington. They wintered over on the Oregon side of the Columbia River, at the spot of today's Fort Clatsop National Monument. On March 23, 1806, the Corps of Discovery began their journey back up the Columbia River to return home.
