"Twilight" ... the movie ...
The vampire romance movie Twilight was released in 2008 and was the first film the a saga of five films. The first movie was filmed in many locations throughout southwest Washington and northwest Oregon.

Cape Horn, Washington ...
In the scene where Edward and Bella are high in the trees, a wide-angle camera pan of the Columbia River shows the view from Cape Horn, Washington. Scene was shot at the Cape Horn (Nancy Russell) Overlook, a short hike in from the end of Strunk Road. This general view can also be seen from a pullout on Washington State Highway 14. Cape Horn is located 26 miles east of downtown Vancouver, Washington.

Ecola State Park, Oregon ...
The surfing beach, located in LaPush, Washington, was filmed at Indian Beach at Ecola State Park, two miles north of Cannon Beach, Oregon.

Kadow's Marina, Vancouver, Washington ...
Kadow's Marina is located on the Washington side across from Caterpillar Island. The marina is private but can be seen from the Lower River Road, eight miles west of downtown Vancouver, Washington. The houseboats where Charlie's friend Waylon was attacked were shot here.

Kalama, Washington ...
The outside of the Kalama High School and its parking lot were used as the Forks High School. Inside scenes however were filmed at the Madison High School in Portland.

Multnomah Falls, Oregon ...
Multnomah Falls is located on the Oregon side of the Columbia River, approximately 30 miles east of Portland. Take Interstate 84 east to the parking lot. In the movie "Twilight", as Bella and Edward are on their way to the vampire ballgame, Multnomah Falls is visible in the background. The baseball field was filmed on private land near Prindle, Washington.

"... we passed several beautifull cascades which fell from a great hight over the stupendious rocks which cloles the river on both sides nearly ... the most remarkable of these casscades falls about 300 feet perpendicularly over a solid rock into a narrow bottom of the river on the south side. it is a large creek, situated about 5 miles above our encampment of the last evening. several small streams fall from a much greater hight, and in their decent become a perfect mist which collecting on the rocks below again become visible and decend a second time in the same manner before they reach the base of the rocks. ..." The "Grisham Mill", was really Oregon City's Blue Heron Paper Mill.

Oxbow Regional Park, Portland, Oregon ...
Oxbow Park was the location where Bella revealed that she knew Edward was a vampire.


Prindle, Washington ...
The baseball field scene was filmed on private land near Prindle, Washington. Multnomah Falls, Oregon can be seen in the distance.


St. Helens, Oregon ...
The house that Bella and her father moved into was located in St. Helens, Oregon and the "Olde Towne" district in St. Helens stood in for Port Angeles, plus a few other scenes used St. Helens' buildings were used. The "Thunderbird & Whale" bookstore in the movie is really an attorney's office in real life and the "Bloated Toad" restaurant is a private residence. The parking lot where Edward came to save Bella is located off 2nd Street behind the 1st Street buildings. The big painted "Worthington" sign is still visible.

Vernonia, Oregon, located _____ miles south of the Columbia River, was transformed into Forks, Washington, for filming many scenes. The opening hunting shots and some of the tree climbing scenes were shot here.


View Point Inn, Corbett, Oregon ...
The View Point Inn was the location of the Bella and Edward's high-school prom in the 2008 vampire hit "Twilight".
