Gee Creek ...
Gee Creek winds its way through the northern part of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. Gee Creek was named after early settler William Gee.

Early Gee Creek ...
The 1854 cadastral survey (tax survey) for T4N R1W shows "Gee" on land in Section 13, bordering the east side of today's Lake River. The 1863 cadastral survey shows William Gee having Claim No.44, for 310.25 acres of Section 13 and the NE part of Section 14, all on the east side of Lake River (called "Vancouver Slough" back then).

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management's General Land Office (GLO) Records database (2007) shows William Gee and Charlotte Gee being granted title to 310.25 acres of T4N R1W, Sections 13 and 14, on September 20, 1867 (1850 Oregon-Donation Act).
